My Own Photography Courses
I am developing an interactive learning environment (ILE) using multimedia tools to teach photography, and am currently conducting market research.
The program I am designing is for adults in the beginner and intermediate stages of their learning of digital photography.
You may have just purchased a dSRL, or have one sitting in your closet, and don’t know where to start with all those menus! Yes, it is confusing. To begin with, I’ll show you how to set up your digital camera and cut through the owner’s manual and teach you what matters most to get you started on the path to better photography.
I will be delivering the course material via a membership site, which will include photography lessons, assignments, photo critiques and a member forum where you can take part fully in the community aspect of the photography program. This delivery method is also great for people who don’t live near a photo school, or for those who are busy and prefer to study at their own pace.
In the future I will be developing courses for other imaging topics based on the feedback from surveys and the first round of courses. So far, the topics will include f-stops and shutter speed, lighting, and shooting and post processing digital camera raw files.
I will be launching the program sometime in the first half of 2010. It seems very far away at this point, but there is still much to do! I will be asking a few of you to be beta testers of the program as well. If you are interested in helping out with that, let me know.
I still need a few more surveys completed to get a better picture of my core learners, so if you have a few minutes to help me out that would be great.
So here is the link to my survey. Please pass it on to anyone else you know who might be interested in photography courses and seminars.
Thank you!

Learning Style Inventory – This is cool!
To gain a better understanding of yourself as a learner, you need to evaluate the way you prefer to learn or process information. By doing so, you will be able to develop strategies which will enhance your learning potential. Take this test to see if you are a visual, auditory or tactile learner.
Here is another version of the learning styles test which has full explanation of each style.

Thanks Lisa. If you like Moo cards, you’ll probably like Zazzle too. There you can use your own photos and artwork and make all sorts of products, as well as sell your products on Zazzle to other people.
